The adebar story

told by the founder

Even as students, we, Anne Horstmann & Dieter Erichsen, loved organizing and creating experiences for and with people. The common love for the north and the curiosity about Mecklenburg-West Pomerania connected us.

That's when the idea was born:

An event agency on the Baltic Sea that develops great events and incentive programs and implements them throughout Germany. In June 1996 we moved from North Rhine-Westphalia to Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and Anne Horstmann founded the event agency adebar in Stralsund on February 01.02.1997st, XNUMX. The move to Wieck auf dem Darß followed in December, to the newly built house with six holiday apartments and an office.

From 1997 we organized together with initially two employees as Destination Management Company - DMC group and youth trips and shore excursions for cruise ships. In 1998 we organized the first company event for 400 guests on Rügen with a large water sports event. This was followed by the continuous development of the agency at company celebrations and incentive trips. We were actively involved in the development of the incentive and event market in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, such as founding the MICE cooperation "54 Grad Nord" and were a founding member of Meet-MV.

We become more professional:

Team growth for accounting, office and project management. In 2007 we had our first event with 800 guests - transfer logistics, supporting programs, location scouting and much more. Business partner Dieter Erichsen is leaving at the end of 2011 and new project managers are joining. In 2012, Britta Detlefsen started as a sales representative in Copenhagen and boosted the Scandinavian market for us until 2015. The own stock is expanded: from lounge furniture, sports equipment to decoration and team game modules.

Just don't get stuck!

As early as 2014, we changed sales with a new sales concept and mastered a difficult year. Since March 2014 we have been participating in the "fairobliget" program - the sustainability code of the German event industry. The capital city office in Berlin is opened and the first trainee comes to us. The efforts have paid off. In 2015 we doubled our sales compared to the previous year. After six years Jörg Tesch leaves the agency and Kristin Teschner becomes deputy managing director and authorized signatory at adebar. The "1000 guests" mark is broken with an anniversary event in Hamburg. we, Anne Horstmann & Dieter Erichsen, were happy to organize and create experiences for and with people. The common love for the north and the curiosity about Mecklenburg-West Pomerania connected us.

Our team has grown with many incentives, team building events and company events. Today, 10 employees plus an office dog work in our offices in Wieck auf dem Darß, Copenhagen and Berlin. 2016 is characterized by the optimization of processes, strategic focus and preparation of the 20th anniversary including website relaunch.

One thing hasn't changed over the years: we've retained the start-up community spirit over the years. We are sure that you will feel the joy and passion we put into our projects.

To date, we have created and implemented 990+1 events and incentives as a DMC with adebar. On February 01.02.2017st, 20 we celebrated XNUMX years of event agency adebar, which makes us very proud. Because event management includes people - guests, customers, colleagues, partners and employees, with whom we share inspiring experiences.
