soapbox race

Tinker first, then race! Here the team spirit is strengthened during your company outing or other event. Together they construct a roadworthy soap box. We provide a kit including screws, glue and sandpaper for each team of around 6-8 people. With an open-end wrench, a cordless drill and a vice, it's time to start building the soap box. After about 2-3 hours the time has come: the soap box race begins! Who drives the route on the individual course the fastest? Who has the most dedicated pit crew? The fastest will advance to the semifinals and after the grand finale, the pilots will take their place on the podium.

What you experience:

You will experience a team event with plenty of fun and action. The team members all have to pull together, distribute the tasks for building the soap box well and also read the building instructions. Craftsmanship is practical but not necessary. Since the tool is shared among each other, there is room to breathe deeply. Sharing, mutual support and communicating with each other are the focus of this team building. For the "inactive" it's just as much fun. They cheer on the drivers on the racetrack and celebrate their success.

Brief overview/procedure:

• Welcome by the team leader/moderator, explanation of the process, division into smaller groups and briefing
• Building the soap box with subsequent tuning takes about 3 hours
• Then the soap box is tested and a race takes place, approx. 2 hours
• The honoring of the winner and the 2nd and 3rd place can take place directly afterwards or as part of an evening event
