Bonn Republic – former capital 
Bonn was the capital of the Federal Republic for more than 40 years. The city's parliamentary and government district stretches along the banks of the Rhine - it is considered a symbol of successful German democracy. After the war, the Bonn Republic was seen as a rise of diplomacy and democracy with places like the Palais Schaumburg and the Chancellor's Bungalow. Numerous exhibits from that time can still be found in the city today and tell the stories of the post-war period and reunification.
