The Bremen Town Musicians
The Bremen Town Musicians are probably the most famous landmark of the Hanseatic city. A bronze statue by Gerhard Marcks in the heart of Bremen has been reminiscent of the popular fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm since 1953. According to the story, donkeys, dogs, cats and roosters once made their way to the city on the Weser to find a better life here. Touching the donkey's front legs is said to bring good luck, that's why they already shine gold. The landmark can be found on the left, western side of the town hall.
