Where is Lubeck located?
Lübeck is located in northern Germany in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, just before the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Within just an hour's drive, you can reach Hamburg and the nearest airport. The beach and the sea are never far away, because Lübeck is located directly on the Baltic Sea. The city lies on the lower Trave, a navigable river that ends about 17 kilometers from the old town in the district of Travemünde.
