The adebar “Hy” is no off-the-shelf food truck. We bought the 1967 Citroën “Hy” from a classic car enthusiast and converted it into a food truck with modern professional equipment. Since then it has worked at corporate events, anniversaries, promotions and conferences, and it even played the lead in a commercial. Its home is Rostock, and from there it comes to you.

Within 25 kilometres of its home near Rostock central station the “Hy” drives itself, and delivery is included: Rostock, Warnemünde, Bad Doberan, Kühlungsborn, Graal-Müritz.

Schwerin, Stralsund, Greifswald, Wismar, Neubrandenburg, the Mecklenburg Lake District, Fischland-Darß-Zingst, Rügen and Usedom: our partner brings the truck to you safely and on time on a special trailer.

The “Hy” turns heads in Hamburg, Lübeck, Kiel or Berlin too. Transport by arrangement, we take care of everything.

Price, delivery and procedure

The rental price is €400.00 per rental day (24 h) plus VAT, including delivery within 25 kilometres, a thorough handover and a briefing. Once a date is agreed in the contract, the “Hy” is cleaned and delivered straight to the venue, where you receive a briefing and the handover. Further travel and transport costs are agreed individually, and a deposit is required.

How much does it cost to hire the food truck?

The adebar Citroën “Hy” costs €400.00 per rental day (24 hours) plus VAT. Delivery within 25 kilometres of Rostock, a thorough handover and a briefing are included. Further travel and transport costs are agreed individually. A deposit is required.

Where in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can I hire the food truck?

The “Hy” is based near Rostock central station and drives itself to destinations in Rostock, Warnemünde and the surrounding area. For Schwerin, Stralsund, Greifswald, Rügen, Usedom, the Darß or the Mecklenburg Lake District, our partner brings it to you safely on a special trailer.

Can I hire the food truck in Hamburg?

Yes. For Hamburg, Lübeck, Kiel and all of northern Germany we deliver the “Hy” on a special trailer. Transport costs beyond 25 kilometres are agreed with you in advance.

Do I need my own catering?

Use as a food truck is reserved for professional caterers. If you do not have a professional chef, we are happy to provide catering and a vehicle attendant who stays on site during use.

What power supply does the food truck need?

A 16 amp three-phase connection. The vehicle has lighting and several sockets (1 × 400 V, 4 × 230 V). Alternatively a separate generator can power the truck.

Can the food truck be used indoors?

Yes. With a floor protection mat the “Hy” is suitable for halls, foyers and exhibition stands. Apart from longer tours we keep the fuel at a maximum of three litres.

Can I brand the food truck with my logo?

All exterior surfaces are metal and can be branded with magnetic panels in your corporate design. We take care of planning and production.

How long is a rental day and what applies on return?

A rental day covers 24 hours and starts at 8:00 am with departure from Rostock. Shorter and longer periods are agreed individually. Overnight hire requires a lockable overnight parking space. The vehicle is returned cleaned inside with the kitchen area empty, and frying fat and waste water are disposed of properly. The deposit is refunded on flawless return.
