Planning events in Rostock: plenty of highlights in the north

The Hanseatic city on the Warnow combines brick Gothic architecture with harbour life. On request, we make a selection and prepare tours to these highlights:

  • Hanse Sail: Since 1991, up to 300 large ships, sloops, museum schooners and yachts have sailed into the city harbour every year on the second weekend in August. The Hanse Sail draws millions of people and shows off Rostock's maritime charm like no other event.
  • City harbour and Old Town: The city harbour is a promenade, a meeting place and the home port of AIDA. Just behind it you will find pastel-coloured and red brick houses from the 14th and 15th centuries, St Mary's Church, the Steintor gate and the town fortifications with their Wiek houses.
  • Warnemünde: The Baltic Sea resort is Germany's busiest cruise port. At 150 metres, its beach is the widest on the German Baltic coast, with plenty of room for sport, beach olympics and evening events.
