At a glance

Usedom is glamorous and wild at the same time. The sunshine island offers more than beach vibes and relaxation, because it is a great place for outdoor activities with teams. Germany's second-largest island lies between the Baltic Sea, the Achterwasser lagoon and the Szczecin Lagoon. Most of it belongs to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and the eastern part belongs to Poland.

In the town of Usedom stands the 13th-century Anklam Gate with its small local history museum. In the imperial seaside resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin, seaside architecture and villas set the scene. Add to that the wild Peene valley with its river landscapes, 42 kilometres of sandy beach and Peenemünde, the cradle of space travel. In the hinterland, forests and flowering salt marshes await.

These are great conditions for team building and supporting programmes. The adebar project team knows Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania well and brings this experience to your incentive.

Usedom, my sunshine island

  • The sunshine island

Usedom enjoys an average of 1,906 hours of sunshine a year. That regularly makes the island the sunniest place in Germany and on the Baltic Sea, which is why it is marketed as the "sunshine island". Tourism has a strong influence on Usedom, and since the turning point of 1990 that increasingly includes international visitors.

  • Mellenthin moated castle

The castle complex dates from 1575 and lies in the middle of the Usedom Island Nature Park. "Mellenthin" comes from a Slavic word meaning "centre". And that is exactly where the moated castle stands, at the centre of the island. Surrounded by water, it is well suited to a lunch stop, an evening event or a tour of the castle, roastery and brewery.

  • Zinnowitz diving gondola

One of the most impressive sights is the diving gondola in Zinnowitz. Opened in 2006, it has room for 24 people. At a depth of around 8 metres, they look into the underwater world of the Baltic Sea without a wetsuit or snorkel. When visibility is poor, a 3D film shows the marine life.

  • XXL beach chair

Looking for a backdrop for your group photo? Then head to Heringsdorf. It is home to one of the largest beach chairs in the world, and more than 70 people fit into its three by four metres. If you want to post the picture on social media straight away, the beach chair has its own Wi-Fi.

  • Usedom Beach Cup

The world's largest beach volleyball tournament takes place on the Baltic beach in Karlshagen. Every year, around 1,200 players take part in 7 cups and more than 3,000 matches on 90 courts. It is about winning, and about having loads of fun.

  • Why Usedom is worth it

Germany's second-largest island lies right on the border with Poland. Historically and architecturally it is a gem, and the seaside architecture alone is worth the trip. Active or relaxed: on our sunshine island we find the right programme for your incentive.

  • The event in Rostock was the ultimate show, with everything that goes with it. Starting with the evening on the ship, the delicious catering and the “cultural” accompaniment by Hein, everything was just right. Even the weather played along. We could never have done it without your support.

  • Many thanks for looking after our Christmas party. Everything on site worked perfectly. I would particularly like to highlight that the number of participants could be adjusted at short notice because of illness.
