Which water sports activities are on offer?
Our team event by the water offers a whole range of water sports. One highlight is stand-up paddling: participants stand on a special board and glide across the water with a paddle. It trains balance and, in group exercises, team spirit too. Windsurfing brings moments of pure adrenaline. In kayaking, teams sit in the boat together and have to paddle in sync. So the team building happens all by itself, and everyone has fun doing it.
Are there also activities for participants who would rather not go in the water?
Yes, there is a separate programme for everyone who would rather stay on dry land. These activities also strengthen the team and are great fun. Beach volleyball trains teamwork and coordination. The Swedish game Kubb mixes strategy and skill and suits teams who enjoy competing against each other. Beach ball is also popular and gets people moving and in a good mood. So everyone finds something they enjoy.
Which locations are available?
Our "A day by the water" team event can take place in many locations. The special thing is that we come to you! By the sea, at a lake, on a river, in a large meadow or in hotel grounds, we set up the entire infrastructure wherever suits your company group best. The coast offers wide horizons and fresh sea air. A lake creates a calm, relaxed atmosphere, and a riverbank brings the sound of flowing water. A large meadow also works well, as long as everyone can reach it easily and there is enough space for the activities. Hotel grounds are a good choice too. Many hotels have stretches of beach, lake access or large gardens that suit our activities. Accommodation, conference rooms and catering are then right on site. That makes organisation and the running of the day easier. Depending on the location, we may need to obtain permits. Our team takes care of this so that your team event runs smoothly. Whichever location you choose, we plan the team building to your wishes and provide the complete service.
How safe are the water sports activities? Are there trained instructors or lifeguards on site?
The safety of your company group is our top priority. All water sports activities are supervised by experienced and competent instructors. They are well qualified and keep an eye on the safety and wellbeing of all participants. Before every activity there is an introduction and a safety briefing. There the instructors explain how to use the equipment properly and which rules apply on the water. So everyone feels safe before things get going. We provide the necessary safety equipment. This includes life jackets, helmets and equipment matched to each activity. Important: anyone who takes part in water sports and goes into the water must be able to swim. That way everyone can keep themselves afloat independently. This contributes a great deal to safety. On request, we can also book lifeguards and specialists from the DLRG (German Life Saving Association) for your event. They supervise the water sports activities professionally and provide additional safety. We also keep an eye on the weather and water quality. If conditions are not right, we have alternative programme items or additional safety measures ready.
What equipment is provided?
We provide the necessary equipment. For water sports this includes stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, windsurfing kit and safety equipment such as life jackets. For volleyball, Kubb and beach ball we also bring all the equipment needed.
What clothing and equipment do you recommend for participants?
All participants receive detailed recommendations on clothing and equipment in advance. For water sports we recommend comfortable swimwear, water shoes and possibly a wetsuit if the weather is cooler. On land, casual sportswear and comfortable trainers are ideal. Sun cream, a sun hat and sunglasses should not be forgotten either. If needed, we provide towels and wetsuits.
What catering options are there?
There are many catering options for your company group. We tailor them to the tastes and needs of all participants. Mealtimes also leave time to relax and chat. We organise a bespoke barbecue or buffet with fresh food right on site. Drinks range from cool soft drinks to selected alcohol-free options. Fancy something a bit more unusual? Then we organise food trucks with a wide choice of dishes. On request we add a coffee bike or ice cream bike. These mobile stations serve fresh coffee and ice cream right where you are. For extra comfort we put up tents, parasols and lounge areas. This is where people eat, and everyone can relax between activities. Comfortable seating and gentle background music make sure everyone feels at ease.
What does the day look like? How long does the team event last?
We plan the schedule for "A day by the water" around the activities you choose and your company group. A beach olympics or other competitions have fixed timetables. Our programme is more relaxed and gives participants plenty of freedom. Schedule: At our event, everyone does what they feel like doing. There are no rigid schedules and no compulsory activities. We do not have a stand-up paddle board for every single person, but we provide about 10 boards. After a set time, people swap. So everyone can try out the different water sports and choose according to their interests. You can also have individual items such as stand-up paddling, canoeing or beach volleyball organised with advance registration. We recommend this especially when the schedule is tight and there are many participants. That way everything runs smoothly and the equipment is well used. Duration of the team event: The duration depends on the number of activities and people. We recommend at least a half-day programme. Then everyone has enough time for the activities and the relaxed atmosphere. Half a day means around four to five hours, for example, and a full day about eight hours. We design the team event flexibly to suit your needs. It can take place as a "Daybreaker Party" on the day of arrival or departure, for example. That way you start or end the day with shared activities and some time to unwind. The team event can also be booked as an add-on to an evening event on the beach. Participants spend the afternoon with water sports and other activities. In the evening there is a beach party. A silent disco can be a highlight: with headphones on, guests can party into the early hours without disturbing the surroundings. So the team event fits your schedule and the needs of your company group.
How large can the group be?
In principle, "A day by the water" can also take place with a smaller group. For better value for money, however, we recommend at least 20 people. Then the costs for travel, organisation and logistics are spread across more participants. That lowers the price per person. An example: with 2 hours' travel there and 2 hours back, these costs stay the same however large the group is. With larger groups the price per head therefore falls, because the fixed costs are spread more evenly. In principle there is no upper limit on the number of participants. It is just a question of space, organisation and logistics. For very large groups we plan in additional resources and more staff. That way everything runs smoothly and all participants are well looked after.
What happens if the weather is bad?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions, and for good reason. We may have a good line to the weather gods, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee the weather. That is why it pays to make a plan B in advance. Plan B for bad weather: ideally we choose a location where we can move our equipment indoors if necessary. In heavy rain, storms or thunderstorms the water sports unfortunately have to be cancelled. But we can move many other activities indoors. Light rain and wind: a bit of rain or wind generally does not stop us. Our outdoor equipment is weatherproof, and we make sure all participants are suitably equipped and informed. Worse weather conditions: thunder, lightning and storms call for caution. The safety of participants comes first. We watch the weather closely and adapt the programme if necessary. Indoor alternatives in hotels: hotels often have good indoor spaces. These can usually be used for a room hire fee and offer enough space for team building activities, workshops and other indoor programmes. So the day stays productive and entertaining even in bad weather. Open communication and flexible planning: we talk openly with our clients and prepare for every eventuality. Thanks to our experience in event management, we respond quickly and flexibly when conditions change. That is why we discuss all possible scenarios in advance and develop a well thought-out plan B. So we are prepared for any weather, and your team event is a success whatever the skies throw at us.
How much does the team event cost?
There is no fixed standard price per person for "A day by the water". We plan every quote individually according to the wishes of your company group. The costs depend on the number of participants, the duration, the activities and the location, among other things. To put together a suitable quote, we need a little information from you: Number of people: how large is your group? The number of participants has a big influence on the costs, above all because of how the fixed costs are spread. Duration of the event: would you like a half-day, full-day or multi-day event? The length of the event plays an important role in the calculation. Choice of activities: which activities would you like? Water sports, activities on land or special programme items that need additional equipment? Location: do you have a preferred location for the event? Logistics and possible extra costs for certain locations (e.g. permits) are also reflected in the price. For an individual quote, we would also like to know what you have spent on team activities so far and what matters to you. These questions help us understand your expectations: What have you spent on team activities so far? Which aspects of a team event are particularly important to you? Is there a special occasion for the event (e.g. an anniversary, the completion of a new project, etc.)? What specific wishes and needs do you have for this event? With these details we can tailor the quote precisely to your requirements. Feel free to send us this information. We will then draw up a detailed and transparent quote for you. Our goal is a team event that inspires and motivates your company group, at a fair and competitive price.
Can individual wishes or special needs be taken into account?
Of course! Your wishes and needs are at the heart of planning and delivery. We plan the event so that it fits your requirements and expectations. We listen carefully and look forward to your ideas. Do you have certain programme items or activities in mind? Would you like special culinary highlights, or are there logistical requirements? No problem, we will make your wishes happen. We also see ourselves as a source of ideas and a partner. With our experience in event management, we are happy to contribute creative suggestions so that your team event is even more memorable.

  • Everything worked wonderfully and was perfectly organised by you. It was also great that you were always available and that we received an answer to every question within a very short time. We are happy to recommend adebar!
Pamela BeyerBSN medical GmbHTranslated from German
  • The fact that the equipment van was broken into and all the kit for the event was stolen is force majeure. No event runs exactly to plan. Improvisation is everything, and at our event adebar GmbH had to master this supreme discipline within 3 hours. Thank you so much for this incredible troubleshooting!
