At a glance

The Algarve is Portugal's southernmost region. Around 320 days of sunshine a year, good hotels and a well-developed tourist infrastructure make it a strong choice for your next team event. Add to that nature, culture and a relaxed atmosphere.

The coastline ranges from lively beaches to hidden coves. In Faro, Lagos and Tavira, narrow lanes lead to old churches and castles. And on the table you will find fresh seafood, traditional dishes and plenty of sweet treats.

The Algarve, the last stop before America

Every year, millions of visitors come to the Algarve. They are looking for beaches, historic towns and quiet villages. What they find is a region where nobody is in a hurry.

  • Beaches

The Algarve is famous for its beaches with golden sand and clear water. They range from busy resorts such as Albufeira to hidden coves like Praia da Marinha. Swimming, bathing and water sports are possible everywhere.

  • Historic towns

Faro, Lagos and Tavira are full of culture and history. You wander through narrow lanes, visit old churches and stand before the remains of ancient castles.

  • Food

Try fresh seafood or cataplana, a kind of stew. For dessert there is the famous pastel de nata, a puff pastry tart with a custard filling.

  • Inland and activities

Inland, gentle hills, green valleys and small villages are waiting. The Ria Formosa Natural Park is ideal for birdwatching and nature tours. On top of that there are world-class golf courses, surfing, sailing and routes for hiking and cycling.

  • What the Algarve offers your team

In the Algarve, your guests can switch off and still experience plenty. The mix of landscape, culture and warm hospitality makes the region one of Europe's gems.

  • adebar organised a culinary city tour in Rostock for our annual management conference. The tour went smoothly, and our guide was incredibly likeable and informative. Although we only mentioned our wish for a Schwedeneisbecher (a local ice cream sundae) at short notice, this stop was built into the tour. That shows how spontaneous, individual and client-focused adebar is.
