At a glance

In the Spreewald, water sets the pace. Countless rivers, canals and lakes form a far-reaching labyrinth that is home to many animal species. Add to that Sorbian customs, traditional crafts and regional specialities, plus museums and villages with historic buildings.

This is where your team leaves everyday life behind. The calm of nature gives you time to breathe and fresh energy for the work that follows.

The Spreewald then and now

This region in eastern Germany brings together waterways, old traditions and a long history. Nature lovers feel just as at home here as people with an interest in culture.

  • Punting through the waterways

The winding streams, canals and channels are the main attraction. In a punt, you glide quietly past meadows, dense forests and small villages. Along the way you will see water lily ponds, rare plant species and, with a bit of luck, a white-tailed eagle.

  • Sorbian culture

The Spreewald is a centre of the Sorbs, a Slavic minority with their own language and customs. In their villages you will see traditional costumes, old crafts and the typical half-timbered houses. The open-air museum in Lehde shows how the Sorbs used to live.

  • Regional cuisine

Nobody gets past the Spreewald gherkins, and they come in many varieties. The inns also serve fresh fish, pickled eggs, and quark with linseed oil and potatoes.

  • Active and relaxed

Canoe, bike, hiking boots or saddle: the landscape lends itself to many outdoor programmes. If you prefer a slower pace, relax in one of the spa hotels or on the relaxation islands of the SATAMA SPA at Lake Scharmützel.

  • Why choose the Spreewald?

Your team glides by punt through the waterways, gets to know Sorbian culture and enjoys the silence. It appeals to all the senses and brings people together. adebar puts the programme together with you.

  • The event in Rostock was the ultimate show, with everything that goes with it. Starting with the evening on the ship, the delicious catering and the “cultural” accompaniment by Hein, everything was just right. Even the weather played along. We could never have done it without your support.

  • Many thanks for looking after our Christmas party. Everything on site worked perfectly. I would particularly like to highlight that the number of participants could be adjusted at short notice because of illness.
