At a glance

An incentive in Bremen is as colourful as the people who live here. The city is known for its Town Musicians, its beautiful market square, the Schlachte riverside promenade and the football club Werder Bremen. There is plenty to experience, from the historic old town to the Universum science centre and the Übersee-Museum.

The 600-year-old town hall and the "Roland" statue are UNESCO World Heritage sites. The harbour and the Schlachte are wonderful for a stroll. And the Bremen Carnival is Europe's largest samba carnival. Would you have expected that of the Northern Germans?

Germany's smallest federal state consists of two cities: Bremen and Bremerhaven, about 55 km away. The Hanseatic city has made a name for itself in shipping, and you can see that in the Hanseatic buildings on the market square. Here you will find Hanseatic flair, culture and good food, handmade treasures and plenty of places to catch your breath.

Bremen

  • A European space hub

Bremen is one of Europe's most important locations for space travel. Airbus built Europe's contribution to the International Space Station (ISS) here. So on the company site, it is all about questions such as "How do food and water get to the astronauts?" or "What is it like to live, sleep and do research in zero gravity?".

This is where you will find a walk-in, life-size model of the Columbus space laboratory, which is part of the ISS. Try it for yourself: how heavy is a litre of milk on the Moon, on Saturn or on Venus?

  • The Town Musicians of Bremen

The Hanseatic city's best-known landmark is the Town Musicians of Bremen. Since 1953, a bronze statue by Gerhard Marcks on the west side of the town hall has recalled the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. In the story, a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster set off for the city on the Weser in search of a better life. Touching the donkey's front legs is said to bring luck. That is why they have long since turned a shiny gold.

  • Short distances and an open outlook

Bremen is a compact city. You can explore it easily on foot or by bike, and numerous parks invite you to take a break. People from 178 nations live here. More than 40 honorary and career consular missions from around the world are based on the Weser.

  • Why an incentive in Bremen?

On the water and on land, there is a lot for your team to explore in Bremen. The supporting programmes strengthen collaboration. Active or rather relaxed? We at adebar put together the offer to suit your wishes.
