Geocaching treasure hunt: a moment from the team event (2)

An exciting voyage of discovery

Geocaching takes your team outdoors on a treasure hunt. Team spirit grows along the way and motivation rises. The tour is ideal for company outings and challenges every one of your colleagues.

Each team receives a GPS device and a rally booklet with useful tips for its route. Along the way, there are tasks that can only be solved with teamwork, skill, creativity and knowledge. Collaboration improves almost by itself.

Every solved task and every checkpoint reached gives you something to celebrate. That builds confidence. At the end, the big treasure is waiting to be found. A symbolic high point that brings the team even closer together.

Geocaching team event: what you can expect

We tailor the event to you, with stations such as a blind tasting, Bob the Builder or a relay race. We are happy to adapt the stations to your company.

Fair play matters to us: caches you find must not be altered. That way, the team event is fun, strengthens team dynamics and motivates everyone involved.

Why is geocaching such an effective team building event?
Geocaching combines adventure, teamwork and the fun of solving puzzles. Participants search for hidden caches together, crack tricky riddles and complete tasks. That builds communication, trust and cohesion. We plan around your team's requirements and goals. Our experienced event planners help you choose locations and routes so the tour has plenty of variety. If you like, we can add team games, team workshops or reflection rounds. The fun doesn't end with the event. The way your team works together continues to benefit long afterwards.
How many people can take part in the corporate event?
The number of participants depends on the group size and the local conditions. We make sure the teams are well balanced so that everyone can work together well. As a rule, we plan with teams of 6 to 12 people. At this size, everyone works closely together and supports each other. Each person is actively involved and plays an important role in the team. We also organise larger events for up to 150 people, though. In that case we plan and coordinate with particular care. That way every group gets an equally good experience and everything runs smoothly. When planning, we always take the local conditions into account. We choose locations that suit geocaching and other team building activities. In the city, in the forest or on the beach: we'll find the right place for your team.
Can people with disabilities take part in the geocaching team event?
Yes. It matters to us that the team event is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Geocaching is a great way to include everyone, regardless of their physical abilities. We take every participant's needs into account right from the planning stage. That can mean an accessible venue, special equipment or adapted routes and activities. This way, everyone can take full part. Our event planners work closely with you on this. We provide individual support so that nobody is left out and everyone can enjoy the team event.
How long does the team event last?
That depends on several factors: how difficult the geocaches are, the length of the route, the venue and the activities you want. As a rule, a geocaching team event lasts 2 to 4 hours. In that time, the teams find several geocaches, solve tasks together and explore the surroundings. Along the way, they practise their navigation and their teamwork. We plan the duration so that adventure and teamwork are nicely balanced. Our event planners agree everything with you so that the event is entertaining and your team takes something away from it.
Can the geocaching event go ahead in bad weather?
Yes, geocaching team building also takes place in bad weather. Rain or wind won't stop us. We provide all participants with suitable equipment so that they are safe and comfortable. Bad weather can even strengthen the group dynamic and team cohesion. adebar prepares everything carefully and adapts flexibly to the conditions. Our team knows the challenges of outdoor events and can react to the unexpected. So you can sit back and relax, even if the weather doesn't play along.
Where can the team event take place?
The choice of location contributes a great deal to the success of the team event. Geocaching works in all kinds of places, depending on your group's preferences. In the city, out in the countryside, in parks, in the forest or around your company or hotel: we adapt the team building to your circumstances. In the city, the teams set off on a voyage of discovery. They find hidden treasures, solve puzzles and get to know interesting places. If you'd rather be out in nature, you can search in parks or in the forest. Here the teams enjoy the fresh air and solve tasks together. Peace and nature give the team event a relaxed setting. Our event planners work with you to find the right place to match your requirements and goals.
How much does geocaching team building cost?
The cost depends heavily on your requirements. Key factors are the number of participants, the duration, the equipment and the type and number of activities and stations. Larger groups need more equipment, more staff and more logistics. Longer events mean more work in planning, organisation and delivery. Equipment plays a part too, such as GPS devices, special clothing or additional materials. Extra activities or stations can raise the price because they require more staff and materials. An exclusive location or complex logistics costs more than a standard venue. Then there may be services such as catering, transport or accommodation. Our event planners work with you to design a geocaching team event that fits your budget and your goals. Our prices are transparent and we give you comprehensive advice.
Will your staff be there during the programme?
Yes, of course our experienced staff are on site during the team event. Trained team members support, lead and look after participants throughout the event. Our team is always on hand to help the groups with advice and practical support. They guide everyone safely through the planned activities and react quickly if something unexpected happens. That gives people confidence and keeps the mood high. Everyone feels at ease and can show what they are capable of.
Is there food and drink during the GPS team event?
Yes, if you wish, we take care of all the catering. Good food and drink contribute a great deal to successful team building. There are various options that we tailor to your wishes: packed lunches with snacks and drinks, hampers with fresh food and healthy snacks, a cosy picnic outdoors or a visit to a nearby café or restaurant. What works best depends mainly on the location. In the city, cafés or restaurants are a natural choice. Out in nature, a picnic or packed lunches are often the best solution. Together with you, we find the right catering. We take your requirements, the venue and the budget into account. That way everyone is well looked after and can concentrate on the team building.
What do I need to bring to the team event?
Above all, a good mood! At the geocaching team event, fun and a cheerful atmosphere come first. Please wear weatherproof clothing and comfortable, sturdy shoes. The event takes place outdoors and often crosses varied terrain. With the right clothing, everyone stays safe and comfortable and can focus entirely on the tasks. We take care of the rest with our planning and organisation.

What our clients say

  • Everything worked wonderfully and was perfectly organised by you. It was also great that you were always available and that we received an answer to every question within a very short time. We are happy to recommend adebar!

  • The fact that the equipment van was broken into and all the kit for the event was stolen is force majeure. No event runs exactly to plan. Improvisation is everything, and at our event adebar GmbH had to master this supreme discipline within 3 hours. Thank you so much for this incredible troubleshooting!

  • This was the second company event we have experienced with you. The planning, preparation and support were perfect once again, and from start to the grand finale with the “medal ceremony” it was enormous fun.
