At a glance

Sylt is Germany's northernmost island. For team building and incentives it is a special place. Wide dunes, high cliffs and beaches as far as the eye can see define the landscape.

Westerland, List and Wenningstedt are waiting for your group, along with Sylt oysters and crisp shrimp rolls. Barefoot on the mudflats or in wellies on the beach: the island is worth a visit in every season. Frisian history lives on in the narrow lanes of Keitum. In Kampen, people like to sit in one of the cafés on the so-called Whiskey Mile and watch the world go by.

On Sylt, exploring and unwinding take turns, and that is exactly what makes an incentive here so appealing. On the island, the adebar team works with a well-established network of committed partners. Your contact designs the trip with you, and a lot is possible, from champagne to hot cocoa. That gives your incentive the "Sylt" bonus and shows your guests even more appreciation.

Sylt, the dream island in the North Sea

  • Location and getting there

Sylt covers 99.14 km². From Hörnum in the south to List at the Ellenbogen in the north, the island measures 40 km, and 13 km at its widest point. The largest town is Westerland, with plenty of shops and restaurants, in the middle of the island and right on the long sandy beach. This is also where you arrive by train or plane.

The harbour in List in the north also offers a connection to Denmark. That is another way of getting there for passengers and vehicles.

  • A tour of the island

The former fish stall Gosch has its roots in List harbour. Today it has grown into an empire of fish restaurants and several large halls. On foot or by bike, you can explore the "Ellenbogen" nature reserve, the northernmost part of the island.

Between down-to-earth List and glamorous Kampen, with its luxury boutiques, upmarket restaurants and clubs, lie shifting dunes. Every now and then they creep towards the road, a piece of Sylt's untamed nature. Besides luxury, Kampen also has the most beautiful beaches on the west coast, with special hiking trails along the cliffs and through the dunes. It is an easy walk to Wenningstedt, with beach bars and restaurants to stop at along the way. A climb up the Uwe Dune, the island's highest dune, is a must.

On the quieter mudflat side lie smaller villages such as Keitum, Munkmarsch, Morsum and Archsum. Keitum has many historic thatched houses, good restaurants and tea rooms. The Frisian church of St Severin was first mentioned in 1216.

From Westerland you head south to Rantum. This is where Sylt-Quelle draws the island's own mineral water, and it is also home to the well-known beach restaurant Sansibar. At the southern tip in Hörnum there is another harbour with regular ferries to the mainland. You can also reach the neighbouring island of Amrum by scheduled boat.

  • Sylt as an incentive destination

Groups of around 15 to a maximum of 150 people are a good fit for an incentive trip to Sylt. Many hotels and restaurants cannot accommodate larger groups. With the island's limited space, leisure activities for large groups can often only be run in smaller sub-groups.

An incentive trip rewards your team or special customers, so it should be something special. That is why we combine typical island experiences with a well-judged surprise. Your team returns with vivid impressions and links them to you as their host.
