Do you know that feeling when you step off the plane and instantly switch into holiday mode? Suddenly everything is new and exciting. You notice your surroundings far more intensely than in everyday life.
You don't have to travel to get that feeling. Treat your team to a break with an iPad rally and see your surroundings from a completely new angle. The rally is fun and encourages collaboration and creativity within the team.
Using modern technology, participants navigate through tasks built into their surroundings. Competition and team spirit go hand in hand. This strengthens the sense of community and stays in the memory for a long time.
It's a way to motivate your staff without having to travel far. The iPad rally combines experiential learning with fun and suits a company trip just as well as an internal team event. Puzzling things out together calls for communication and creative thinking.
Plan your next team event as an iPad rally. Your team grows closer, explores exciting places and creates shared memories. The voyage of discovery starts right on your doorstep!
What participants experience during the iPad rally
In the iPad challenge, the journey is the destination. Several teams explore locations of their choice and discover fascinating details about their surroundings along the way. Special software activates the tasks at specific locations. Only there do they appear on the display and can be solved.
The teams take photos and videos, scan QR codes, find geocaches or answer tricky questions. With the iPad, all of this is easy to do. On request, we build in tasks about your company and current topics. This makes the rally more relevant, and everyone learns something new.
There is only one winning team. Yet in the end, everyone has won. Because what counts is the shared experience: the laughter, the things you went through together and the tasks you mastered as a team. That strengthens team spirit and the bond between colleagues.

An iPad rally is a team building activity that strengthens team spirit, collaboration and communication within the group. Participants play in smaller teams and are given iPads with special software. The software links tasks to specific locations. When a team reaches one of these locations, a task appears on the iPad that can only be solved right there. These can be tricky puzzles, creative challenges or interactive tasks about the surroundings or your company. This way the teams explore their surroundings, talk to each other and solve problems together.
How long does the iPad rally last and how many people can take part?
An iPad rally usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours. The exact time depends on the number of tasks and the route. Ideally, exciting and demanding tasks alternate. Groups of 20 to more than 350 people can take part. We usually split them into teams of 6 to 8 people. That way everyone has an active role and can contribute.
What technology is needed and who provides the iPads?
The organiser provides the iPads. They come with the software that runs the rally already installed. Before the start, everyone receives a thorough introduction to the devices and their functions. So every team can get going without any difficulty. You don't need to bring your own devices.
How are the tasks structured and can they be adapted to our company values?
The tasks are varied. There are logic puzzles, creative storytelling and interactive tasks that make use of the surroundings. Sometimes teams have to photograph special places, shoot short videos or answer quiz questions. It's fun and draws on a range of skills. We are also happy to adapt the tasks and build in content about your company values, goals or topics. Then the rally is entertaining and connected to your company culture at the same time.
What happens if my team doesn't get back on time?
Returning at a fixed time gives the rally structure and helps with time management. A team that arrives late is not penalised. What matters is that everyone returns safely and nobody is missing. A team may, however, lose points by being late and then be at a disadvantage in the final competition. The organisers are usually flexible, though, and make sure the atmosphere stays relaxed.
Is there support during the rally?
Yes, there is usually a contact person available during the rally. Teams can turn to them with questions or technical problems. So everyone can get help at any time without the rally suffering.
Can the team event also take place in bad weather?
Yes, the geocaching team building also takes place in bad weather. With good planning and execution, we make sure your team event succeeds even in rain or wind. All participants receive suitable equipment so that everything stays safe and comfortable. Bad weather can even boost the team's dynamic and cohesion. adebar prepares everything carefully and adapts the schedule flexibly to the conditions. Our experienced team knows the challenges of outdoor events and responds to the unexpected too. So you can sit back and relax, even if the weather doesn't play along.
Can snacks and drinks be organised for the team event?
Yes, we are happy to organise drinks and snacks for you. Various breaks can be planned during the iPad rally. One idea is an ice cream break with a cool treat. A drinks stop with a tasting is also possible, where the group can come together and socialise. A particularly creative station is the smoothie bike, where participants blend their own smoothie from fresh ingredients.
We can also provide packed lunches or other snacks to take along. That way your team is well catered for throughout the rally. Just tell us what refreshments you would like. We take care of the organisation.
How much does the iPad rally team event cost?
The cost of an iPad rally depends on several factors. First, the number of participants: for larger groups, the price per person usually goes down. Then the duration. Most rallies last between 2 and 4 hours, and the price depends on the length. The services included also play a role. Many packages cover the iPads, technical support and the planning of tasks and team building elements. Sometimes refreshments such as snacks and drinks are included in the price too.
Special stations such as a smoothie bike or tasting stops may incur additional costs. The venue also affects the price. Special locations or external rooms may come with higher fees.
Can the team event also be run in English?
Yes, the team event works very well in English too. The iPad rally can easily be adapted to your group's language. All tasks, instructions and materials are then available in English. That way everyone understands the content and can take an active part.
The host or game master can also lead the event in English. This ensures clear communication, and all teams can tackle the tasks with ease.
All that is left for me to say is thank you. Everything was excellent and ran smoothly. The participants found the programme a complete success.

Everything worked wonderfully and was perfectly organised by you. It was also great that you were always available and that we received an answer to every question within a very short time. We are happy to recommend adebar!

The fact that the equipment van was broken into and all the kit for the event was stolen is force majeure. No event runs exactly to plan. Improvisation is everything, and at our event adebar GmbH had to master this supreme discipline within 3 hours. Thank you so much for this incredible troubleshooting!
