At a glance

The seaside resort of Travemünde has a charm that is hard to resist. Strictly speaking it is just a district of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, but it has earned its independence. Its variety and beautiful natural surroundings offer plenty of material for an exciting incentive. The Baltic climate and wide bathing beaches also attract lots of visitors.

A big advantage is the transport links. Hamburg and Hamburg Airport are about an hour's drive away, and you can also get there with Deutsche Bahn. Internationally, Travemünde can be reached by ferry from Helsinki, Malmö, Liepāja, Klaipėda and Trelleborg. In the evening, suitable events at the hotel or elsewhere round off your incentive trip.

Getting to know Travemünde

  • A lively little coastal town

Even if it is "only" a district of Lübeck, Travemünde deserves to be called a coastal town. Nordic, genuine, sometimes very windy, and the Baltic Sea right on the doorstep. Big ferries leave from here for Helsinki, Riga, Ventspils (Windau) or Trelleborg.

The Priwall peninsula is ideal for sailing events. Travemünde lies right on the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, yet today there is no trace left of Germany's division.

  • A-ja Travemünde

The four-star A-ja hotel stands right where the Trave flows into the Baltic Sea. From there you look out over the Baltic, the banks of the Trave and Travemünde. Big ships and fine sandy beach are right on the doorstep. This is the place to put your feet up and soak up the sun.

  • What Travemünde offers your team

Ferry, train or plane: Travemünde is quick to reach, and Lübeck and Hamburg airports are close by. Once there, you experience genuine port town flair. From here, sailing, sightseeing and nature can be combined into a wide range of supporting programmes.

What our clients say

  • Many thanks for the superb organisation of the iPad Challenge during our summer conference in Warnemünde. All our colleagues took part with great enthusiasm.

  • adebar organised a culinary city tour in Rostock for our annual management conference. The tour went smoothly, and our guide was incredibly likeable and informative. Although we only mentioned our wish for a Schwedeneisbecher (a local ice cream sundae) at short notice, this stop was built into the tour. That shows how spontaneous, individual and client-focused adebar is.

  • What your team put together for GECKO's 33rd birthday was amazing! The venue was simply fantastic, every single detail was lovingly designed, and working with you was so relaxed that we had a great deal of fun.
